I had an old QNAP with the S3 app backing up to AWS. I've purchased a new QNAP and want to not only re-create the same backup, but to the same place.
It would be logical to recreate the backup job and point it to the existing data but the S3 app doesn't let you use a bucket that isn't empty.
Do I need to re-backup terrabytes of data to S3 again?
Can I copy over specific history files from the app at a command line level to duplicate the app on the new QNAP?
Any other alternative suggestions welcome

Re: New QNAP - Copying the S3 app data
You could login via SSH to one of the QNAPs and run the rsync command to copy data from one NAS to the other. As you point out, you can't create a new job to the same bucket as it does need to be empty.

Re: New QNAP - Copying the S3 app data
The question is which data? I would need to copy the config files and some sort of S3 upload data, so the new S3 app thinks it has some history to refer to. Anyone know which info I would need, and where I would find it? Thanks
