S3 Plus - Error when connecting to Canada Central server

S3 Plus configuration for cloud backup to US servers seems fine but connecting to an existing Canada Central bucket fails with 'unknown error' and creating a new bucket does not offer the Canada Central option. Is there a work-around? Looked around for the S3 Plus specific forum with no luck.
