I am using HBS 3 to backup to S3. I also use simple versioning to keep 3 versions.
I ran this scenario #1:
1. Create backup job that keeps 3 versions, and with client side encryption
2. run backup job
3. modify files
4. run backup job again
5. create restore job based on the backup job
6. I can restore any version
7. I can restore to original location
but in this scenario #2:
1. Create backup job that keeps 3 versions, and with client side encryption
2. run backup job
3. modify files
4. run backup job again
5. delete backup job
6. create restore job based on the backup job
7. I can only restore the latest version
8. I cannot restore to original location.
It seems that versioning works in scenario #1 as expected, but in #2, I cannot restore the version I want. How can I restore any version I want in scenario #2?
Also, how can I restore to the original location instead of creating a new folder and messup the structure?
UPDATE: looks like the versioning works in #2 if I restore the metadata first, and then restore the backup. Still not sure about restoration location.

Hi,
did you get any smarter on this?
Another question: How can I restore the data in a specified folder (not in the folder "latest", but further up in the directory)?
Best,
m.
