Which File is Infected?

Post by rlanza1054 »

Hi,

I'm pretty new to Qnap but I keep running into issues.

Ok here is my latest issue:

I also had McAfee say I had two infected files. I don't see anything listed in the quarantine area.

I downloaded the mcafee report file and opened it up to file thousands of entries saying 'not scanned (err:11)'. Since there are thousands of entries I figured I would simply search for the err number of the infected file.

Well I have searched for an hour on how to read a McAfee log file to see how McAfee write the info so I can do a search.

Nothing!

So would someone please tell me first what the err number is that i can search on.

Second is the a tool that helps you analyze these log files for easy reading.

Third, why am I getting thousands of entries saying 'not scanned (err:11)'

Forth, why is McAfee using up all my CPU.

In the resource monitor it's stating that McAfee is using 56% of CPU recourses. And since I occasionally run a Full Scan and I keep the Real Time Scanning turned on my Qnap NAS CPU is always pinned at 98% usage.

Is this product worth having?

The built-in anti-virus seems to run just fine and actual caught something once and actually move it into the quarantine area.

Thanks for any help!
