Can't find the Tonido in the App Center. Assume it has been pulled recently for some reason.
Anyone know why?
Any plans to bring it back?

Thanks for link to Tonido forum!
So it looks like QNAP, for some reason, decided to pull the app.
Maybe someone on the QNAP team can provide some reasoning on the decision to remove Tonido... and hopefully some thoughts on how we can get it back.

Best submit a ticket with Qnap then.

Thanks for the great suggestion. I opened a ticket and the QNAP technical staff were very helpful.
They informed me that the Tonido app was pulled because of PC and mobile sync issues.
When CodeLathe fixes the problem it will be reinstated into the App Center.
To help me out until then, tech support provided a link to the qpkg which they agreed I could share:

http://download.qnap.com/QPKG/tonido_5.8.0_x86.zip

This is not the latest version of Tonido but I installed and it works fine for me.

Any update on the Tonido app for QNAP NAS since these posts from early in the year (2015)? I have a Tonido plug, which is not a great performer, but we have a group of musicians who are trained and use it to fetch audio and video files for post-production. I would prefer to have the QNAP NAS as the backing store instead of a RAID array behind the Tonido Plug.

how do you delete tonido???

I have it on my system from a long time ago and it will not remove. how can I remove this (virus)??? is that why its gone?

also of note.. I had a extortion email with my QNAP password (I know it was because I only used it for QNAP)
of course I knew the claim was BS so I ignored it.. but did it come from my tonido install???

Need to know how to delete tonido. What info do you need? I don't understand what you mean?

you used some app that was pulled apparently 5 years ago, and now you say the password was used in an extortion email, so if that app is not keeping external records, your NAS must have been compromised (hacked from the outside) to get this password

I just googled it, so that app is a self hosted "cloud" server, so you have probably been hacked

do not expose your NAS to the open web.. and certainly not with 5 years outdated apps

Are they able to uninstall it? Am I able to uninstall it? I can't find the files anywhere. It appears to be a phased out app from 5 years ago like you said. Just wondering if anyone else knew what the deal was with it is all.

Thanks!
