An important note to anyone using the Cloud Drive Sync app.
When sync'ing to Google Drive it DOES NOT sync the actual contents of a Google docs file. Not at all. The file that gets created locally does not contain the data. It contains only a URL pointing back to the online file.
If you have any gsheet, gdraw, gdoc or other files be aware you DO NOT HAVE LOCAL BACKUP OF THEM.

Re: Cloud Drive Sync DOES NOT BACKUP FILE CONTENTS
This is (and has always been) true of any Google Drive backup/sync app.
Google only provide a link for each of the Google docs file-types. But "regular" files are backed-up in-full.
