G’day,
I have a VM running on a remote NAS which it is connected to using a virtual switch. The NAS connects using a qvpnclient across the wan to my local network on which the router serves the openvpn network. Remote NAS VPN address is 10.8.0.2
I can run openvpn client on the VM, but it then fights with the NAS for the same vpn address and connections alternate between the two. I can see this behaviour in router web interface.
Obviously the remote vm and the remote hosting NAS have different local ip addresses. How do I get them to have different vpn addresses? I am sure I had this working once too
Regards
VM running openvpn client through virtual switch

Network setups described with words instead of diagrams are always difficult to understand
If you have identical transit VPN networks (resulting in routing issues), set them up to be within different ranges
