QNAP login screen blurried
Good day experts,
I cant login to my QNAP any more because the login screen is blurried.
Cloudlink does not work any more also.
Can access QNAP file system via windows network.
Any ideas are appreciated.
thanks,
Andrei

Re: QNAP login screen blurried
yes,
tried in Firefox, chrome and IE.
In IE there is no blur. I think IE does not support it. But I can't login also. I see no error messages after the login. The login page reloads and that's it.
Another bad thing is that I can't ssh with admin.
But I can ftp as admin.

Re: QNAP login screen blurried
is it only that window has a problem? could it be your graphics card? or monitor?
or at least try clear cache see if that helps.
https://www.bleachbit.org/
https://privazer.com/
can even try clean graphics card driver install. use DDU to remove graphics driver properly
https://www.wagnardsoft.com/
*assuming your connecting from a laptop or desktop.
The only degradation in graphics i had in QTS was during logging in to VM using virtual station. You can adjust the quality of the screen when connecting to the NAS that way from the side bar panel for quality bit rate. It's like that so bad internet can reduce the bit rate for smoother access at cost of graphics quality viewing qts.
another way i tested was accessing via myqnapcloud where you can access qts if you enabled remote access via there. Tried that but did not see any blurring image like your screenshot either
what qnap model and firmware you using for starters?

Re: QNAP login screen blurried
doubt that is a graphics problem
that screen blur is a login "effect" ... if the screen was alwags blurry, op would notice

Re: QNAP login screen blurried
Guys, thank you for the ideas.
I think this is a purely login screen problem.
I think there is some code in the page which blurs the screen under some condition (for example if ssh certificate is invalid).
You can try to open the cloudlink to my NAS https://www.myqnapcloud. com/smarturl/osa?lang=en
I have TS-419PII. I can't recall the firmware and QNAS version. Where can I see this assuming QTS does not work.

Re: QNAP login screen blurried
I think the screen blur is an Ajax effect that is applied just before the login box is displayed. I managed to cause this same problem a while back when I was messing around with the background image for the login screen.

Re: QNAP login screen blurried
I was wrong. SSH works.
I took the recent putty version and managed to connect.
I have also downloaded QFinder. QFinder sees the QNAP but can't connect to it.
I think there is something wrong with HTTPS protocol or some login module?
Is there a way to reinstall QTS completely via SSH?
