I think I just wrote myself out of NAS access... TS-853A NAS
I was thinking the allow/deny list in security would solve my problem with accessing the NAS from Kodi. I found this https://www.qnap.com/en/how-to/faq/arti ... -list-only
which states.......QTS blocks connections at IP layer 3. This might limit the network connections of apps that run on their own network segment within QTS, such as apps that use Container Station.
To fix these issues, go to “Network & Virtual Switch” > “Virtual Switch” and check which network segments are used by each virtual switch. Then add these network segments to your IP allow list.
So I added the IP address Kodi has looked at in the past to the Allow connections from this IP Only list and now I cannot access the NAS from Qfinder on my network computers (all Mac). I can access through the desktop share on all Macs but this is great for file transfers and housekeeping only. I think I need to remove the entry I made to get back to where I was. So how might I access?

Re: Allow/Deny List in security
3 second reset clears network and password settings
I assume a 169 direct address is also blocked.

The NAS should have an HDMI port so access through USB + HDMI may be possible.
