Hello,
I have two TS-879 Pro, 8GB memory, dual 10Gbps ports PCIe card (balance-rr configuration).
Total 8 WD 6TB Red drives, in a RAID-6 configuration.
I was thinking that my base write speed should 180MB/s (drive rating) x 6, or about 1,080 GBytes/sec
I understand that's just wishful thinking and actual drive performance, as well as RAID-6 take
a huge bite out of the desired high speed.
BUT, I am getting roughly 140 MBytes/sec write speeds. ! That's way less than what I was expecting.
Did I somehow misconfigure the NAS ? What am I doing wrong ?
I should mention, my computers also use dual 10Gbps cards in a bond-rr configuration, and yield close
to 2,000 MByte/sec transfer speeds (between them). And yes, my switch XS716 has the LAGs configured.
At this point, the NAS is the only part that doesn't play nice.
Any tips/suggestions, appreciated.
Best regards,
rudi

Re: TS-879 Pro low performance
Did you try and test with a single 10GbE connection out of the NAS?

Re: TS-879 Pro low performance
No, I have not tried using just one 10GB port, but I guess I can easily try ...
I just disconnected one of the port, without making any changes to the configuration, and the write speed did not change at all ...
Thanks,
rudi
