NAS not accessible on windows network

Post by tychedawn »

Hi,
I recently spent some time tidying up ethernet cables behind my NAS and, in the process, have powered down, unplugged and reconnected all assets. Around the same time, my windows software was updated in the normal Microsoft process. After this, I am now not able to get access to the NAS on the local network; however, the system is still visible via the cloud application on my mobile. I can see the device; however, I cannot log into it locally using the web browser. Nor will the file explorer connect.

Any help with this dilemma would be appreciated.

Cheers

Did you get this resolved? NAS not appearing in network neighborhood is common. One workaround is to use Qfinder to locate network drives and map them from there, also adding a link to the IP address to quick access in explorer. Also, google "enable SMB" and enable it for all ethernet and wifi, this got the network to show up in network neighborhood for me. Good luck.
