Xopero Windows Client

Post by peterprahl » Wed Nov 18, 2020 12:24 am

I'm just testing out Xopero by having installed the Freemium version. So far, everything has been working out fine. I have a remaining question regarding the implementation of the Windows client, though, which does not seem to be able to wake up Windows 10 from suspend mode when a backup task is due, nor does it prevent Windows frm going into suspend mode during a running backup task. Backup resumes correctly after the Windows workstation wakes up again, but it would be much better if the backup would be running at non-production times (e.g. during the night).

Hello Peter,

Thanks for your suggestion - that's true, our actual Windows Client does work exactly as you've mentioned. For now it is recommended to disable suspend mode to perform the backup tasks during non-production time.
We're aware that preventing/waking up the system would be the best way and we'll provide such option in our future solutions.

Best regards,
