[SOLVED] Share name root question MB200/tivx etc. NFS

Post by fdoorhof »

Sorry to ask this (probarbly something stupid)

I use a Tivx and a MB200 and can share NFS.

I have set NFS in the QNAP and set everything on full access.
I made two different maps qnap1 and qnap2 both represent a 500GB WD drive.
On the PC I can access them and write files to them without problem and logging in.

When I make the setting for the WD netcenter the share reads:
shares/Main/HD

I would think that the share for the qnap would be:
shares/frank1/qnap1

(frank1 is the name of the server).
But it does not work.

Does someone please have the setting for me :(

Greetings,
Frank

AFAIK both TVIX and HD MediaBox use IP addresses to specify the NFS server.

So it won't work with NAS names.

In my case, I just assigned an IP address for the TS209Pro (eg 192.168.1.5)

In my TVIX, for Normal (NFS) share, I just key in the ip address:
192.168.001.005

and I key in the share folder eg public

I had to do a firmware upgrade and now it works like a charm.
Although the Qnap still claims to be on the same firmware, the shares are now working :D
