I'm very inexperienced with QNAP, as I've only had my first device - a TS-230 - for about a week. However, I've been trying to figure out the NFS capabilities over the last couple days, and I *may* have the answer to your question. If not, I apologize for wasting your time.
  1. In Control Panel, under Privilege select Shared Folders.
  2. In the resulting list of Shared Folders, for the folder of interest, in the Action column, click the 2nd icon, Edit Shared Folder Permission.
  3. In the resulting dialog Edit Shared Folder Permission, change the Select permission type dropdown to NFS Host Access. I now see the following:

  4. The last two columns allow you to select the anon uid and anon gid.
Hope this helps.
TS-230, TS-253A, both with latest stable QTS
