Mounting shares takes too long

Post by Tonatiuh »

Model: TVS-1282T3
OS: QTS 4.3.5.0.0728
Connection method: Ethernet 10 Gbps cable

Since a time ago, it takes too long to mount the QNAP shared folders.

Computer OS 1: Ubuntu 20.04 (NFS)
Command: sudo mount.nfs 10.10.10.2:/MyFolder /mnt/MyMountPoint

Before, this took a couple of seconds.

Now, Ii takes many minutes, maybe 3, 5 or 10 minutes. During all that time, I can move the mouse and click on apps but nothing happen on the OS. When the mounting process has finished, everything works ok the OS again.

Computer OS 2: Windows 10 (Network drive)
My QNAP shared folders are configured to mount as "Network drives", configured to mount automatically when Os starts.

Before, this happened instantaneously. No noticed delay.

Now, the OS and all its apps which are configured to start up with OS, starts. I can use the OS and apps, but this "network drives" are not connected. When I click it returns a message saying that it was not possible to connect again to this network drives. After a couple of minutes QNAP shares are connected and working properly.

There were no changes in the apps which automatically start with the OS, neither in Ubuntu nor in Windows.

Mounting those shares on MacOS (through thunderbolt) still works flawlessly.

QUESTIONS:
1. Why is this happening?
2. How can I fix this?

Best regards,
