SVN Docker Server has super slow network via NAT...

Post by robert_m_muench »

I'm trying to run a SVN server docker image and configured it to use the NAT.

My virtual network stuff looks like this:

However, the networking is super-slow. Committing stuff via a thunderbolt connection runs with about 7kb/s and takes ages. My suspicion is, that it has something to do with network time-outs but I can't identify any problem.

There are quite some things I don't understand:

1. The SVN server container is connect to "Container Network (lxcbr0)" and not "Container Network (docker0)" even it's a docker image.
2. How does the NAT look on the NAT layer side? What IP does it get? Is it reachable from 192.168.2.x whereas the other network is using 192.168.1.x?
3. Do I have to setup some routing stuff manually?

This is all very confusing and I have the feeling that some important information is missing/not showing in QNAP's GUI.
