Hello,
I'm actually running two qnap nas since 2016 at home :
- a TVS-871T (8 bay, boxed)
- a TS-EC2480U R2 (24 bay, server rack)
I'm actually considering upgrading my hard drive, focusing on the following model : Seagate Exos X18 ST18000NM000J
The review I saw made me confident on reliability, but i'm wondering if by chance any of you have tried it on those nas model.
I'm worried as they are not on qnap compatibility list, but i don't know if they are not compatible or not tested by qnap (as it is old nas)
Before i order one for a test, could you confirm if you managed to run those on any of these two models ? and any advise on them ?
Best regards,
Olivier, France.

No problems with the drives and all is well.

Thanks for your feedback, even if your nas is not as old as mine i feel confident to test it.
I received one but unfortunately DOA (shop did a ugly packaging ... drive was put without protection in a simple letter, of course it had a shock (visible on the case), i should get my money back this week and will order in another shop).
Bit of a shame for a such valuable hard drive.
I will update the post when I will receive it.
Many thanks,
Olivier
