8TB HDD compatibility with TS 259 Pro

Hi,
I'd like to know whether the seagate hdd st8000vn0002 8tb 256mb 6gb/s sata3 will work in the TS 259 Pro please?

Most likely yes. Several community members have installed 8 TB storage blocks on TS-x59 systems.

The compatibility table QNAP has does not seem to have been updated to include drives over 6TB for this model, however your feedback concurs with that I received from the retailer of the drives....so will assume it'll work...have ordered the larger trays and drives (fingers crossed)!

Be careful as I ordered the st10000vn004 10Tb for my TS451A NAS which is not on the compatible chart and it is loud as **
