I have attached a Seagate drive to the QNAS TS-212-E (rear USB socket) and the drive shows up on the 'Connected External Device' on the NAS home page icon. When I click on the icon it drops down and identifies the device correctly as 'USB1'. Clicking on that opens the File Station 5 Multimedia folder ... but there is no USB1 folder. Does anyone know why ? Naturally, I need to know what is being backed up, I need to visually see what's on the USB External drive.
Can anyone help?
gael.

Have you checked the permissions to the USB drive?

Re: 2TB Seagate Expansion Desktop Drive SRD00F2
Thanks for the advice guys. I clicked on the wee icon at the top of the opening screen and a menu came up asking what I wanted to do with the drive. Choosing the correct option opened the contents of the drive. So, all's well that ends well ... now to mark the topic as solved.
Thanks again.
gael
PS. The drive was formatted previously ... Ext4.
