I am looking to expand my capacity. I am already running 4x 3TB drives in RAID6. I was looking to upgrade to 4x 8TB Ironwolf drives or maybe 10TB drives. However, the compatibility list doesn't show anything over 4TB.
I'm not sure that's because the compatibility list isn't getting updated anymore (I bought this cage in 2009) or if there is truly a hardware incompatibility.
Has anyone run larger drives in this chassis or something of the same vintage that doesn't specifically list compatibility on the drive chart?
Thanks!

Re: Maximum drive size QNAP TS-439 PRO
expansion on the nas is not supported to anything higher than 16TB(volume size)..too old
so an 8TB RAID6 might work .. or the NAS could refuse to do it
