ST6000VN0033

Post by LosLagos »

In a TS-419P II with a RAID 5 1 Disk crash and I´m trying to replace it with a IronWolf 6TB ST6000VN0033 the light is green BUT in SMART i got Disk does not exist.
The disk is in the compatibility list
In some moment I got this in the Log: [Harddisk 1] I/O error, sense_key=0xb, asc=0x0, ascq=0x0, CDB=28 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 02 00 and the disk led indocator goes to red.
Any help is welcome

I guess the old disk was not 6TB ?(as it would hit the 16TB volume ceiling on your device)

could be a DOA drive .. can you test it in a PC or SATA dock ?

what does

Code: Select all

cat /proc/mdstat
via ssh say ?

Thanks for your answer,
My QNAP was with 4 2TB Disks WD in RAID 5.
I'm new and try to test the disk but only have windows and with a external usb dock I can´'t see the disk.

Download and install Seatools for Windows, see https://www.seagate.com/support/downloa ... in-master/ If that program doesn't see the drive, it's without question DOA. If it does see the drive, run the long test. You probably need the outcome of that test anyway if you need to return.
