Exos X16 -Firmware SN03

Post by rpadole »

Anyone running X16 (ST16000NM001G) with firmware SN03? Qnap lists firmware SN02 as compatible. Seagate is actually now shipping SN04 firmware.
I have 3 units and not a single one is recognized by the NAS (TS-1685).
Anyone using firmware SN03 with any Qnap NAS out there?

I have 4x Exos X16 in a TS-653D that are working perfectly with SN03 firmware.
TS-653D-8G with 6x Seagate Exos X16 10TB drives in RAID6
TS-653D-8G with 6x Seagate Ironwolf Pro 10TB drives in RAID6 for backup
Now redundant TS-451+ 16GB Kingston RAM and TR-004
Cyberpower Value 2200vA 1320-Watt UPS connected to Master TS-653D via USB2.0 and powering both TS-653D units

I have a TS-670 PRO fully populated with ST16000NM001G-2KK103. I use it as a Plex server and backup images of my HP z440. I just became aware of the different firmware versions in SeaGate drives and that SeaGate does not list changes in their firmware. I have three SN02 and three SN03. My plan is to update all six drives to SN04.

I also have a TS-869 PRO as a backup. I had issues with three Lenovo dual labeled ST16000NM001G and am now in the process of rebuilding it with all ST16000NM001G-2KK103 SN04 drives.
