TR-004 Drive Types

Post by jack313 »

Anybody tried Seagate Exos X18 or X20 18TB drives in a TR-004. The compatibility list has some Exos drives and some 18TB drives, so I would have thought there shouldn't be a problem. But you never know.

Internal interface and firmware can easily make one manufacturer "pass" and another 'fail", even new drives in a product line that is previously compatible.

You could try asking support.
A fairly similar issue is discussed here, not sure if it helps or not but may give you some insight
