TS-251A Wd gold 6tb

Post by overjet »

Hi to all,

my second wd red 6tb, on my ts-251a in raid 1, it's broken.

I would like to change with a WD gold 6tb, WD6003FRYZ, but it is not in the compatibility list.

For you is it compatible also if it is not present in compatibility list ?!?

Thanks a lot.

not sure what your question meant ..but it should be fine for a swap

make sure you have full external backups at all times

Thanks for reply.

I've a broken hardisk in my nas. A wd red 6tb that it was in raid 1 with the other wd red 6tb. I've to replace with another 6tb hardisk and i wanted to know if, for you, the wd gold 6tb it's compatible with ts-251a also if this model is not present in compatibility list.

Thanks.

Thanks a lot for reply.

I've checked compatibility list of 419p+ and the WD gold are in the compatibility list. My problem is the wd gold are not in compatibility list of my TS-251A.

I've already backup of all my data.

Ok, i've installed the new wd gold 6tb. The hardisk was detected correctly.

The reconstruction of raid 1 has restarted.

So i believe the hardisk is supported correctly by the ts-251A.
