I just upgraded my QNAP TS-469L to QTS 4.3.3.0154 and then installed PlexMediaServer_1.5.6.3790-4613ce077_x86_64.qpkg. I removed the previous version of Plex first unfortunately so had to re-add libraries and re-configure settings.
I have had troubles getting my media scanned and added to the library. After the initial install it seemed to scan for a little while then stopped with no files added to the library. I tried restarting Plex and it then added some files to the library but then seemed to stop working.
Looking at the Plex Media Scanner.log file I found many "HTTP 401 response from GET " entries. The main problematic URL seemed to be http://127.0.0.1:32400/library/changestamp
When I restarted Plex these 401 errors would go away for awhile and the scanner would add more files to the library but then the errors would return and the scanner would stop working. I had to restart Plex about 4 or 5 times to get all my media scanned.
I logged into the NAS with putty and tried wget http://127.0.0.1:32400/library/changestamp and got the 401. If I tried wget with the server ip http://192.168.2.14:32400/library/changestamp I would get a 200 response.
Scanner fails periodically due to 401 errors with QTS 4.3.3.0154 and PMS 1.5.6.3790

Running error-free many days now. The problem was solved by:
Deleting everything in /PlexMediaServer/Library/Plex Media Server/Cache
Assigning the QNAP a static IP
After doing that my other issues around claiming the server were solved and the scanning is working great.
