Need help: A server could not be found

Post by JumboCactuar »

Hi,
I installed Plex Media Server on my QNAP TS-253A-4G

Can access using port 32400 but it just says:

A server could not be found. Download and install Plex Media Server, and it will appear here.

Reinstalled/ Restarted NAS etc... And still same

Any help appreciated

Im on 4.3.4

I jus installed PMS in my QNAP and want to transfer from Windows to QNAP, but I need to configure the initial library first.
I am having the same issue, "The site can't be reached".

There was a similar thread to this but no resolution listed.

Here's the proper solution to the issue.

Q23: Can not claim Plex Media Server
If this is a first install, and after the install, you click on the Plex icon in the QNAP App-Center, in order to open the Plex Media Sever (PMS) page, you will fail due to the fact, that it tries to access PMS using the secure HTTPS protocol.
Sadly, unless claimed, PMS will only respond to pure HTTP calls, until claimed, and as such, simply remove the s from https://...
After claiming the PMS, all will work nicely
