I just installed my new QNAP TS-228A and I have installed the PLEX server on it.
installation is ok from application center , but when I click on PLEX icon to open or configure it , I'm getting an error

site unreachable
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx connexion has been closed...
...
ERR_CONNECTION_CLOSED

URL is using port 32400. I have aded it ion my box , still not working

I'm using the initial configuration, didn't change parameters

may be you could have face already such problem?

as you censored the complete ip..hard to say what you re using here..internal or external IP

During initial installation QNAP and PC/Mac need to be on the same LAN. Also QNAP ip needs to be in a private range https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Private_network.

Only after initial installation you are allowed to change this.

IP is https://192.168.xx.xx:32400/web
this is an internal IP from the box

initial installation has been done with the NAS on the same internal LAN than the PC. IP is ok, as plex is using the same than QTS, only the port is changing : https://192.168.xx.xx:32400/web
once installed , I didn't find any place where to configure PLEX, only undersdtood I have to start it to access the configuration

For this very first access try http://192.168.xx.xx:32400/web (without the `s`)

I think I have forced https in the configuration somewhere

https is the default created by the QNAP Plex installer. In my opinion should be http but my voice was not heard by the Plex team... The fact is that until the server is claimed https cannot be used.
