QNAP NAS Community Forum

Cannot access/run any media on any Plex device. LG TV, Sony TV or NAS -TS251A. Ipads and iPhones
All thumbnails are displayed but when I attempt to play them I get "Please check that the file exists and the necessary drive is mounted."
I have read many posts on here but my brain just gets bamboozled and shuts down.

I think I need the idiot guide.

1st thing... are your files stored under /share/Multimedia?

If so that is your problem. Thumbnails are stored in separate “Plex” location, but /share/Multimedia is controlled by QNAP and at various times things happen to it and it breaks Plex mapping.

Delete media from Plex library, create new “Media” share.. name whatever you like. Move folders under /share/Multimedia you want in Plex into new “Media” share. Re-ingest into Plex (add to Library).

Where should the NEW Plex media library be placed?

I cannot see any media ATM

I think I've created a new folder.

But I can't see it here
I cant navigate to the 'media' in the add library menu.

Any help appreciated.
