Qfiling destination folder name format - change possible?

Post by frodo_ax »

Hi,

I would like to move my photos into folders that are based on the date taken and organized as Pictures/YYYY/MM/YYYY_MM_DD

currently the recipes only allow hyphens between the year-month-date string. is there any way to change the date format to using underscores?

thanks

Agree, the qfiling has lots of potential. Would be great to be able to use custom formats and not just the standard recipes.

Submit a helpdesk ticket asking for that as a feature request.

I had a similar question, my current structure has "YYYY Photos" and "YYYY Videos" built into it.

eg: YYYY Photos/YYY-MM-DD/photos.jpg

While I could drop the photos from the name, I have backups and things pointing at these folders and while I might be able to work out how to get them to play nice with folder name changes, if anything doesn't play nice there is a shade over 1TB of photos to re-upload... something I don't want to do if I can help it.
