And so QNAP have started to push me another step closer towards migrating to Synology with the release of Qfiling v3.0.0.
Now we are limited to just a single one-time task and a single scheduled task, unless we upgrade to 'Premium' at a cost of $10 p/m, when we are then 'limited' to 100 of each.
I'm not a big fan or user of Qfiling, but its the principle of the thing that infuriates me. Is this the sign of things to come with other QNAP apps - the 'free' version will be limited unless you pay to unlock those limitations? Now that I've updated the app, I have no clear way to downgrade either to the previous version which served me well until now.
Mike.

What happens if you download and install it?

Re: Qfiling v3.0.0
I am in total agreement with you on this change to a premium service. I am fortunate that I do not use this for a lot of tasks but I still am a user. It has become a core daily task on my NAS to migrate photos, videos, and docs to the correct folder locations on my NAS. I have been a QNAP user for 6+ years and have praised the NAS usability.moggoly wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 8:13 pm And so QNAP have started to push me another step closer towards migrating to Synology with the release of Qfiling v3.0.0.

As I get ready for an upgrade I am concerned about how QNAP is moving the pay to play features. I have been forced several times to adapt to QNAP enhancements which have downgraded my overall QNAP performance. I hope this is not a trend that continues and that my next purchase stays with QNAP and does not go elsewhere.moggoly wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 8:13 pm I'm not a big fan or user of Qfiling, but its the principle of the thing that infuriates me.
