Question about ES1640dc v2 and mission critical

Post by obitwo »

Hello,

We are interested to buy a ES1640dc v2 NAS for mission critical in our VMWare farm that require high speed hard drive. But this system is dedicated for 3,5inch hard drive size, that doesn't exists with 10 or 15k rpm, but only 7200rpm.

What kind of hard drive is recommanded for this bay in case of performance are needed?

Thanks

Olivier.

Are you after performance or resilience?
If you want the best performance Qnap do this is not the best box, look at the TES models.

Mods, pls move to QES section
