Hello all,
I have 2 of these Enterprise models that we got to use the new snapsync services to move data between the 2. On each controller I have 2 of the 10Gb interfaces in a LCAP config. The service binding page shows that the Snapsync service should use that trunked interface. Although I am not seeing anything close to even 10Gb speeds when moving a large amount of data, it is more like 1Gb speed.
After talking with support they told me that all syncing services go over the management interface. How can this be? Has anyone else run into this?

That is incorrect, it can go over 10GbE ports.
Are you pointing Snapsync at the 10GbE port of the remote 1640DC when creating the host?
Is there any bottleneck anywhere?

At this point I dont know what I entered into the host section, but it dose show host IP's as the 10Gb ports and the mgmt ports. I have edited the service binding to exclude the mgmt from the snapsync service. I do not see any bottle necks anywhere as the switch they are connected to is a full 10Gb switch as well.

Ok, so does it work now?
Clearly Snapsync is doing a lot of work, don't expect to get full 10GbE speeds.

I understand that it is not going to be a full 10Gb just like you never get a full 1Gb on your laptop, but when I dont even see 100mb that is a problem. See attachment.

Yes that cannot be right
Have you turned off Jumbo frames if using?

Yes Jumbo frames are off. Also another problem we have started is that just transferring files to the QNAP over NFS it is also very slow. I have opened another support case for this and dev is getting involved now.

Assume you're on latest firmware.
hmm, is SMB also slow?
Must be an issue on your network.
