and yes IBM is also working on Watson to help data crunch all that data from these connected iot devices to make sense of it all for the end user :)

from what i understand, you can add iot certified devices into the device list for this app, then get back useful info like temps. if your device if overheating you most definitely want to be alerted about that rather then be left in the dark.

more examples of how to use Iot will be what helps push this tech forward :) newbies will need more ideas of what they can practically do with it.

like here if you forward to 9:35 they cite their iot certified platform works on qnap ( iot certified nas by the way).
