Supportability of the Arduino UNO WIFI

Post by SerSem » Thu Dec 27, 2018 5:59 pm

Arduino UNO WIFI has embedded WIFI-client and MQTT protocol that could be configured through embedded WIFI-sever. Unfortunately, Arduino UNO WIFI has limitation with length of the username in MQTT setup. At the same time QIoT Lite generates username automatically usually with 36 chars length. It could be very useful to provide ability to override generated username and password in QIoT. It could extend list of supported devices. Any thoughts?

Hi SerSem

You can try to flash other firmware(Espressif AT or wifi-link) to ESP8266 on board, reference this : https://github.com/jandrassy/UnoWiFiDevEdSerial1
And for use with this MQTT Library : https://pubsubclient.knolleary.net/
You can try it. Thank you.
