increase resistance..others have reported they needed to use 150ohms

btw did you see that the pictured wiring was wrong?

Thank you very much I will ask him to try a great resistance of 150ohms

The connection points that we have tried are correct though? IE Legs 5 and 6 in from the right? Per this file: download/file.php?id=32232&mode=view

Thanks, Im not familiar with electronics unfortunately. Has mine been wired up incorrectly? Could you please tell me what numbers should be connected per this diagram? download/file.php?id=32232&mode=view

Many thanks :)

Okay so it was very wrong in the original diagram, before I go back to the electrician could you please confirm that the attached is correct and that we should try the original resistance of 100ohms then move up to 150ohms if that fails?

Thanks again for the input and hoping to get this resolved :)

I have described in the german qnap forum an alternative how to repair the mini again. You do not need to solder on the ic itself on the back of the board is a socket debug 1
there are the
Pin 1 = 3,3V
Pin 2 = Lpc clk
Pin 3 = ground
https://forum.qnapclub.de/thread/57892-ts-251c-100ohm/
in the german forum i have also uploaded pictures

This resistor trick worked to get my TS-251+ back online, was able to get everything copied off, and have a new synology (ds720+) arriving today to replace the qnap. This experience just really turned me off to qnap finally.

Yet another qnap TS-451 running full fan.
Used a old 120ohm resistor, worked very well.

Thank you so much for this temp fix.
