I decided to take the plunge and replace my 469pro (for no other reason than to have a newer model).....and all I can say is what a big disappointment. I was expecting a huge difference between something that was almost 10 years old and this 2002 model.
The first thing I wanted to setup was the webserver, php and this failed at the first hurdle....I enabled the webserver, installed Maria DB 10 and configured the password....I couldn't even do the basics and log into phpmyadmin using the credentials...having found something about editing the php config file, don't make me laugh!
It's going back in the box and being returned as not fit for purpose.
Replacing TS-469Pro with TS-253E

I think you mean 2022 model and not 2002
Then...this is a community forum..nobody here cares if you buy, sell or throw away your QNAP
Also also..you buy a NAS and first thing you do is fiddle with the webserver...a NAS is a NAS and that's what the main purpose is.
If you want it to do stuff on the side, set that up in a VM or container

Whoops, yes I mean 2022 model.
The rest of what you've typed is irrelevant to me
