I am new to all of this
I have recently purchased and setup QNAP TS-464 as my home NAS
I have set up the NAS in RAID 5 with 4 x 8TB drives and 1 x 1TB SSD NVMe for caching
I have setup new User accounts
When I set up the accounts I elected to send each new user their welcome email, however, something went wrong and they did not receive the emails
How do I resent the welcome email
I understand that the password is not stored and want to send them the welcome email containing the URS and a new temporary passwords so they can sign in and set their own passwords
Can you please provide assistance with this issue
thank you in advance

Re: User welcome email
What exactly are you doing(or trying to)?..That sounds very much like a public exposed NAS (extremely dangerous)

Re: User welcome email
Have you configured an SMTP service on the NAS? Notification Center > Service Account and Device Pairing.
Not sure the NAS can send emails without it..

Re: User welcome email
I have the same problem as Pug69. I have configured the SMTP service under Notification Center, and I do receive email notifications from the NAS regarding other stuff.
But the welcome emails do not go through.

Re: User welcome email
So you have opened a ticket with QNAP support, correct?

Re: User welcome email
I have a related question- I want to edit the default email to contain connection instructions for the new user. Does anyone have information about this, or should I open a ticket?

Re: User welcome email
Open a ticket, the email is probably not user changeable, please do not expose your NAS to WAN .. (you have been warned .. no tears!)
