I have only just seen this thread. He may have been short with people sometimes but he had a wealth of experience that he was willing to share.
I have only just seen this thread, but he helped me out indirectly once or twice.
RIP Patrick, you will be missed.

He passed away in the early November last year.
6 month's ago!!
Leave him alone.

Actually I do not agree, it's not pointless to comment here.
In the years I've been more and more busy with my QNAP forum in Italian language and I've kinda lost track of this one which is where I started many years ago in 2007. Despite my absence I was still lurking around from time to time and Patrick's posts were most of the time there to help. I feel ashamed now for having miss this sad news so it doesn't matter if its late, I wanna pay my respects to him and give my deepest condolences to his family.
