Web Connectivity problems for myQNAPcloud

Post by ishbell15 »

my system is TS-251+ 5GB RAM QTS 4.3.3.0154 (2017/04/13)
The Web Connectivity test (under mtQNAPcloud) failed, it was due to errors in The myQNAPcloud -> Auto Router Configuration (the Status column showed errors). I tested, restarting the router can fix this. I am not sure if this is problem from the router or from my NAS? or any one have fix other than rebooting router?

Hi,

Common ports can be blocked by the ISP, can be used by the router itself, can already be forwarded by other devices on your LAN by UPnP PMP, can be NAT forwarded manually, ...

On the myQNAPcloud App -> Automatic Router Configuration, there is a [Diagnostics] button - click it, and copy paste the output to the forum.

Tell us more about your ISP, your Internet connection, the router make/model.

-Kurt

PS. 5 GB RAM, how is this possible?

Well, you start with an 8GB SO-DIMM and an ordinary workshop hacksaw. Measuring carefully from one end, you hold it firmly and ....... ;)

   My question was biased on the earlier requirements to update the SO-DIMM in pairs, well possible an 4 GB and an 1 GB module will do it.

Looks like almost nothing works with the router on the LAN IP address 192.168.20.1 when it comes to UPnP IGD PMP functionality.

What router make, model, and firmware version are we facing here?

You might have to configure all port forwardings manually on this device.

this problem occurs when the NAS is idle for hours, and reboot router can fix this. but this is problem, because at outside, it's not easy to access router management interface.

here is the router info:

Name : NetComm Wireless
Product Class: NF10WV
Serial Number: <<privacy>>
Build Timestamp: 161028_1556
Software Version: NF10WV.NC.Spintel_R5B011.EN
Bootloader (CFE) Version: 1.0.38-116.174
DSL PHY and Driver Version: A2pvI041d2.d26b
VDSL PROFILE: No profile
Wireless Driver Version: 7.14.89.14.cpe4.16L03.0-kdb
Voice Service Version: Voice
Uptime: 0D 1H 25M 33S

this is output when "Web Connectivity" works after router reboot

Challenge your router vendor and/or the ISP if it's an ISP provided device why UPnP PMP settings get lost overnight.

Having the same problem. Just setting up a first time use for TS-231P. Completely frustrated with seeing the red failed web connectivity icon. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Providing diagnostic from Auto router configuration page.
