Optware: "No such file or directory"

Post by peierls »

TS-869L
FW: 4.3.3.0188
CPU: Intel Atom CPU D2701 @2.13 GHz
Ram: 3000.2 MB
Disks: 5 4TB NAS disks

I keep getting the error "-sh: /opt/bin/timeout: No such file or directory". The same error is for any file in /opt/bin. Has anyone encountered something like this?
It was working for a while but I honestly haven't logged in in a few months other than to do a couple FW updates. Those did not encounter any problems, as far as I'm aware. Guessing it could be a FW issue but sort of was expecting to see much more traffic about it in the forums...

I did check the manual install instructions but didn't want to change configuration files too much for fear of breaking things that aren't broken.

Could someone help?

Optware is no longer supported. It hasn't been for a while. It was replaced with entware. With 4.3.3, which is a 64 bit firmware, you need to use entware-.
Use the forum search feature before posting.

Use RAID and external backups. RAID will protect you from disk failure, keep your system running, and data accessible while the disk is replaced, and the RAID rebuilt. Backups will allow you to recover data that is lost or corrupted, or from system failure. One does not replace the other.
