[QNAP contest] test HBS 3 and Win a TBS-453DX

Post by dolbyman » Fri May 24, 2019 11:32 pm

New Features of HBS 3
HBS 3 features QuDedup technology to deduplicate backup data at the source. With the overall data size reduced, required bandwidth and backup time is also reduced. You can install the QuDedup Extract Tool on your computer and restore deduplicated files to their normal status.

would this work on a older model like a ts-509 pro? is it required to install on both the source and destination QNAP nas for it to work? :' (at minimum on the recieving side you need to setup the rtrr server credentials for the source nas to connect to)

4.2.6 build 20190322 :(

hope the tcp br still works... :' will test it out.

ok so at least for QuDedupe, it's apparent both the sauce and destination NAS BOTH NEED the hbs 3 beta to work.
Image

So at least on the EOL TS-509 Pro i won't be using QuDedupe :(

not sure about tcp BR though but i'll continue investigating whether i get this prompt alert for it :'
