Both QNaP and SQL server are on the same network and I have successfully mapped Qnap(map network drive) to the SQL server.
I want to set up a regular back up of the database(s) directly from SQL server to QNAP and not the server. When trying to do this, only local drivers show as paths where I can back up.
So in summary, I want to back up SQL database to Qnap. Please how do I go about this?
SQL DATABASE BACK UP TO QNAP(TS-x53Be Series)

unclear what os version the sql is installed on
write a script that dumps the backup to a folder on the qnap (unc path)

Re: SQL DATABASE BACK UP TO QNAP(TS-x53Be Series)
if it is a MSSQL, just backup the database (bak)
in destination just type in
\\NASNAMEORIP\share\folder\backupname.bak
and the backup should work fine
