Here is my FTP-Server: ftp://80.109.50.166/Public/
There is only one text-file with two lines. Are you able to connect to my server (and am I myself able to test this, I presume no).

Actually the IP adress is not pingable but the ftp is working (with both cuteftp pro MAC & ftp command but not from Safari's ftp client).

Code: Select all

Connection attempt 1:
Connecting 80.109.50.166 (80.109.50.166:21)

Thanks,

I changed it form port forwarding to virtual server (ports 20 and 21).
I also deinstalled WinPcap.

Is it working, and pingable (need I this?).

BTW, the setings in QNAP menu for FTP written KB means kilobyte (not kiloboits), is it?

Hi, blackrat
I can access to your FTP and read the txt file now.

KB is kilobyte, yes.

Cheers,

questions

Post by blackrat »

Thank you.

Unvortunatly I have tons of problems or questions.

The first ist, how to access the "Map Network Drive" to window dive letter agin, have I to start quick installation again. I think, there is no other possibility, as Qnap file manager cannot create dictionaries, only upload fies.

The second, I want to share videos for everyone. At first I thought FTP-Server, but maybe Multimedia-Station is better.

The third, how to set different starting folders for webserver and FTP-Server? I found no place, where I can set stating folders for FTP-Sever, web-server etc., only the predifined folders.

I hope I can solve the latter perhaps with domain configuration to set the domain for IP and specified path, hope so.

Is it possilbe to set FTP-Server only for Downloads and uploads to an "Incoming" folder?

This forum is great, thank you!
