I was getting this issue when I ran the BTSync App, I had BTSync downloading to my NAS\Downloads. I have since disabled the app and set up Btsync under docker on the nas to work around the issue.

Can't believe how common this issue is but still present after 3 years. the web is flooded with the "RAMDisk full" complains.

I'm having ramdisk errors now as well... running Sonarr, PlexPy, Plex, and SABNzb+. Removed all those from qpkgs and running them in QEMU now which I'm hoping will resolve my issues. This seems like a really silly issue to have and limit the ramdisk to such a small % of the usable disk space. At least they could make it user configurable.

I had this issue as well, but only 2 apps installed, Cloud Drive Sync and Network & Virtual Switch. I'm in a production environment, so rebooting is out of the question until Friday after 5, if no one stays late. I found the solution for me here:

Edit: You can't empty tmpfs, but you can remove files and folders from /tmp. When you have mounted tmpfs at /tmp, you can treat it as any directory in the filesystem. If you know which files and folders that's not needed anymore, you can just remove them in the same way as you remove other files from the filesystem.

Which is when I had one of those "duh" moments. Just clear the dang tmp folder...just carefully! So I just dug in, using a lot of "df" "du -sh *" and "ls -l" and found a few folders from a previous app that were several megs a piece still hanging around, and just deleted them. tmpfs is now back down to less than 1% and I can update Cloud Drive Sync.

It's a little risky, but worth not having to wait till the weekend for a reboot.

I am having this issue after installing the recent firmware updates. It has really messed up my TS-251+. I've had to stop, and even remove, some apps and restart several times now. Each time it tells me that it was not properly shut down.

I think I've found the culprit: transmission. It seems after a torrent had completed downloading, I get there errors...maybe when it's trying to move it from the incomplete to completed directory. When the errors start, I am unable to use file station. I get permission errors. This was never a problem before. I have not changed download directories.

To stop the errors I need to stop or remove transmission, and sometimes qmono as well, which makes me wonder if it has something to do with Qsonarr as well, and how it interacts with transmission. But usually after the errors start appearing I cannot stop or remove an app. Even if It says it was removed, it is not, and I have to restart and remove the app immediately. I'm very frustrated.

My ticket was ignored. Called support, and they were useless as usual. Said he had no idea what was wrong...asked to log in to my PC using team viewer. Let him do it. He remained logged in for over an hour and did nothing. Didn't respond to chat messages. So I disconnected and continued on my own.

I might try a 3 second reset.

For me it turned out to be a problem with Qsonarr. I originally had the settings so that it would download files to the default transmission directory (i left it blank in Qsonarr). And I had it apply a tag "TV" so that the files would be put in a sub folder. That worked well. Because I was concerned about the default download directory for transmission changing, I changed the settings. Instead of leaving that field blank, I entered the folder manually, like I had done successfully in similar apps. Well, apparently it didn't like that. It was trying to move files to a directory that doesn't exist. Hope that helps.

You could check the download path setting in transmission. My was set to path no longer existing, so when transmission try to move the file from incomplete to complete path, it dumping everything into ramdisk, which of course flooded it. So check your path and make sure it exists.
