I like to know the firmware storing location and config. files.
Is it storing in NAS's harddisk or other else.

I've use the TS-20X(NAS) for periods of time. One day, I get an other harddisk and plug into NAS.
However, NAS can't be detected with the old ip other than QNAP Finder.
QNAP Finder ask me to initalize Harddisk and REQUEST the
firmware too.

That why, I suspect the firmware is storing in Harddisk other than NAS inside.

Please tell us(qnap user) the truth.

Are you asking about TS-209? If yes, the applications are installed in the hard drives. You may refer to QNAPIvan's msg in this post.
