I haver added a LAN-1G2T-I210 (double Gigabit Ethernet ports on PCIe card) inside a 653B NAS but the two extra Ethernet ports are not recognised at all.
An error message appear in forming that port 3 and 4 cannot be start up.
I can use only the two native Ethernet port. No software parameters exist for setting, check or configure the card.
How can do for using the 2 additional Ethernet ports ?
Thank in advance for help.

PS the card is well inserted and the firmware is the latest one (no beta version).

Re: LAN-1G2T-I210 additional Ethernet ports do not work
Just a guess, is the card compatible with your NAS and unknown firmware?
https://www.qnap.com/en/compatibility/
"latest one" means anything.
firmware = version and build number ie:
QTS 4.3.4.0387
QTS 4.3.3.0370
QTS 4.2.6 build xxxxxxx
Perhaps the Network Settings need reset? just guessing...

Re: LAN-1G2T-I210 additional Ethernet ports do not work
As the LAN-1G2T-I210 is listed as compatible with your TS-653B, please contact Qnap support for assistance with resolving the issue. It may be a faulty card.RobbiOne wrote:How can do for using the 2 additional Ethernet ports ?
RAID have never ever been a replacement for backups. Without backups on a different system (preferably placed at another site), you will eventually lose data!
A non-RAID configuration (including RAID 0, which isn't really RAID) with a backup on a separate media protects your data far better than any RAID-volume without backup.
All data storage consists of both the primary storage and the backups. It's your money and your data, spend the storage budget wisely or pay with your data!
