File transfer speed not working in Gigabit

Post by joyofzion »

Hello Everyone,

I had Qnap TS-853BU-RP in my rack included in my network with 1 Gb uplink switch. While I transfer files from my server with Intel I211 network adaptor it works fine in 1 Gigabit speed but when I try to use my laptop (Realtek gaming GBE family controller) and other computers the speed drops to 100 Mbps. I had connected my laptop to the NAS and the problem still persists. In auto negotiation mode it settles for 100 Mbps and when I force the network adaptor to 1000 Mbps it won't connect. What would you suggest me?

Why are you directly connecting components? That should go through a switch.
