Hi there: I would like to increase the security associated with my TS-128. I see this pop up when I log on and select "Secure Login" from the log in screen. What do I need to do or know to improve my security?
I use my NAS at home on a password protected wifi network.
Thank you

Re: How do I make my connection more secure?
are u using remote access for your qnap? if not then it's not a concern.
https is to encrypt ur connection online to the destination in this case the nas.
if however u were using https for green lock sign to access it from remote online, then to setup, you would have to use something like "lets encrypt" certificate, then you will get a verification that the web url u accessed is indeed to your nas and is also an encrypted connection.
but for offline use on the same lan, not that big a concern i would think
