Storages lost after TS-473A Waranty replacement

Post by schlaubi666 »

Hi,

i had an SSD with an Storage on + 1 HDD with also 1 Storage on it, than the NAS switched off and i could not switch it on anymore.
I got a replacement Unit reinstalled the SSD + HDD, i can login with my credentials, but both Storages are not shown ( are not mounted).

How do i get them back ?

Please attach screenshots of the storage management

Also in the future have backups...1HDD + 1SSD with no backups is a sure fire way to lose your data at one point

Its an English forum! A German forum is available at forum.qnapclub.de :wink: .
You can just modify the GUI language prior taking a screenshot.

So what happens when choosing "Wiederherstellen" (Recover) and then "Attach and Recover Storage Pool"?

Regards

Edit: Are backups available? If not, there is a risk of loosing data when doing this (but without backup this risk is always present... :lol: )

the volumes are there they are not mounted( how do i do that ? )

255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 121601 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

        Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/nvme0n1p1               1      121602   976762583+  ee  EFI GPT

Disk /dev/sda: 14000.5 GB, 14000519643136 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 1702132 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

   Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1               1      267350  2147483647+  ee  EFI GPT

Not really, just guessing that both raids are from type single disk.
Compared with my volume.conf, there are some entries I missed in yours, i.e. these:

Code: Select all

time = Thu Jun  9 13:56:01 2022
volType = 1
baseId = 1
baseName = /dev/mapper/cachedev1
inodeRatio = 32768
inodeCount = 81920000
fsFeature = 0x3
Best is to wait for QNAP.

All right... except for the language, that error message (from the first image) looks familiar.
Is the new NAS using the same OS as the old one? (by that I mean either QTS or QuTS Hero)
Is the new NAS' OS the same or a newer version as the old one?
