QSYNC Client rebooting every 30s - MX-Linux

SOFTWARE VERSIONS INSTALLED
- OS: Linux MX-21.1_ahs_x64 + XFCE
- xfce4-panel --version : xfce4-panel 4.16.3 (Xfce 4.16)
- NAS: TS-653D [5.0.0.1986 (2022-03-24)]
- QSYNC CENTRAL: 4.4.0.7
- Qsync Client Ubuntu 1.0.7: QNAPQsyncClientUbuntux64-1.0.7.0318

ISSUE
QNAPQsyncClientUbuntux64-1.0.7.0318 keeps rebooting itself every 15s-30s on MX-Linux.

HISTORY
- I was previously using Qsync Client Ubuntu 1.0.5 (1.0.5.0305) on my PC as version 1.0.6 (1.0.6.2624) I tried was buggy and was generating issues.
- Yesterday (16/04/22) I updated QSYNC-Central on the NAS to Qsync Central 4.4.0.6 after which Qsync Client Ubuntu 1.0.5 was not able to connect to the NAS anymore.
- From the following page ( https://www.qnap.com/en-au/app_releasen ... syncServer ) I understand that Qsync Central 4.4.0.6 will only work with Qsync Client Ubuntu 1.0.7.
Therefore I had to install QNAPQsyncClientUbuntux64-1.0.7.0318.
- Since QNAPQsyncClientUbuntux64-1.0.7.0318 was installed I was able to restore the connection to the NAS but QNAPQsyncClientUbuntux64-1.0.7.0318 keeps restarting itself every 30s so it is impossible to work correctly with it!

I understand that unfortunatly QNAP is not testing compatibility with other distribution than Ubuntu. However if someone has an idea to make it work on MX-Linux I am ready to try anything.

Other question:
If I can't have QNAPQsyncClientUbuntux64-1.0.7.0318 to work, is it possible to download other PREVIOUS QNAPQsyncClientUbuntux64-1.0.7.**** versions which may not have the same issues?
On the release notes of https://www.qnap.com/en-au/utilities/essentials I was not able to find any version number.

Yes, this is the issue.
When the qsync app is launched, it appears in the system tray then connects, then disappear (closes), then reappears again (re-launch)...
I installed it on 2 different computers with MX-21.1_ahs_x64 + XFCE, same issue.

I did some experimentations on 2 other computer with exactly the same install of MX-21.1_ahs_x64 + XFCE:

1- Installing QNAPQsyncClientUbuntux64-1.0.7.0318 on a computer that did not have QNAPQsyncClientUbuntux64 before
=> Works perfectly

2- Installing on a third computer that had Qsync Client Ubuntu 1.0.5.0305 by doing the following commands before:
sudo mv /usr/local/bin/QNAP/ /usr/local/bin/QNAP_OLD/
rm -rf ~/.local/share/QNAP/
rm -rf ~/.config/QNAP/
=> Works perfectly

2- Installing on a computer-1 and computer-2 that have "looping' QNAPQsyncClientUbuntux64-1.0.7.0318 by doing the following commands before:
sudo mv /usr/local/bin/QNAP/ /usr/local/bin/QNAP_OLD/
rm -rf ~/.local/share/QNAP/
rm -rf ~/.config/QNAP/
=> STILL REBOOTING

I installed it by double-clicking the QNAPQsyncClientUbuntux64-1.0.7.0318.deb file.

- Starting in terminal
I usually start the app at startup but I wanted to see the terminal prompt to search for error and copy/paste the result here.
Starting it a startup or terminal or menu gives the same result: looping start-stop

yes, I have the same problem on Linux Mint with Cinnamon desktop.
There are some limitations in the new Qsyncclient like memory allocations. But there's one more: I determined that the path length is more limited, than in the previous version.
No solution until now.
Posted a support ticket, and still waiting ...

Once it works again (if this happens) I think I will just stop updating the QNAP.

The only way for me to get it working is to downgrade the Linux client to 1.05.0305. I have stopped the automated upgrade now until it is fixed.

This is so strange...
I completely re-installed Linux and re-installed QNAPQsyncClientUbuntux64-1.0.7.0318.
It worked fine for 1 month.
Then now we are back to the same restart thing every 30 seconds.

I am so unhappy with this software.

Is there no log to check what is going wrong with this thing?

I'm not sure of the feasibility in this specific situation, but would a rsync solution work for you? Rsync may be more stable and better supported and better documented.

Just pointing out a potential alternative in case it helps.

I will have to look into RSYNC and see if I can get the QNAP to work with it.
As I have no experience using it I would take any advice on how to do that.

QNAPQsyncClientUbuntux64-1.0.8.0623 is out but unfortunately... just as bad as QNAPQsyncClientUbuntux64-1.0.7.0318.

Why are the people at QNAP so passionate about developing softwares that are UBUNTU-Only?
